Hey Beauties! :D

I love it when I'm shopping around and I see something new! I'd like to introduce to you, a beauty tool known as a derma roller. I picked it up from Priceline (which is an Australian drug store). Keep reading to find out more about derma rollers and what I think about the ZGTS luxury titanium needle derma roller.

Ok, so firstly I thought it would be a good idea to talk about derma rollers in general and what they basically do. If you are already a pro, just skip to the next "how often should you use a derma roller?" paragraph.

How do derma rollers work?

A derma roller works by encouraging the skin to create a wound healing response (by puncturing the skin with the needles found on the roller). The skin cells then start to regenerate, healing the skin of any impurities.

If you want more technical information I found this site to be amazing! But for this blog post I wanted to make sure I kept it nice and simple.

How often should you use a derma roller?

  • 0.25/0.3mm: Everyday or every other day
  • 0.5mm: 2-3 times a week
  • 1.0mm: once a week
  • 1.5mm: Once every two weeks if used lightly, once every 3-4 weeks if used more vigorously
  • 2.0mm: Once every five weeks (it is usually not necessary to use needles longer than 1.5mm. You should only use a 2.0mm if you are confident about how to use a derma roller and are able to judge which parts of the skin are thick enough to use this needle length).

Looking after your derma roller.

It's important to clean your derma roller after every use! I always use disinfecting alcohol for at least 20 minutes. This is to make sure that all bacteria or blood on the derma roller is killed/ cleaned.

What did I think about the derma roller?

Not going to lie, I actually love using my derma roller! My mom asked what it felt like, and I guess you guys are wondering too. Well, it's not painful, even though tiny needles are piercing your skin. You just feel little pricks, and you really don't bleed too much either! I think I had two tiny blood dots on my face... the size of a pinhead though. So really, it's nothing to be scared of. Oh and it's normal if your face is red after. I'm keen to see the results in the next few weeks as it's not an overnight treament. But I'll keep you updated in the comments.

Well my beauties I hope you enjoyed my review on the derma roller! If you have used a derma roller before please comment below or I'll never know!

I also have social media, incase you forgot- come and say hi!
